The Sara's Wholesome Muffins Story

“A muffin should have a certain heft, a certain sense…” says Sara Tropper of Sara’s Wholesome Muffins. Sara’s Wholesome Muffins is the innovative producer of baking mixes located in the town of Efrat, just south of Jerusalem. The family-run Sara’s Wholesome Muffins has a vision of providing healthy, delicious muffins to muffin mavens throughout the world. High in whole grains and low in sugar, Sara’s Wholesome Muffins mixes please both the palate and the mind. “I want everyone to have a ‘taste of Israel in his mouth’ as he enjoys my mouth-watering muffins,” says Sara. Simple to prepare Corn and Bran varieties are currently available from the heart of the Holy Land.

In the spring of 2002, in the town of Efrat, Israel, Sara Tropper began to sell the homemade muffins that her family and friends had been enjoying for years. The muffins were an immediate success. As word got around, people in other towns wanted to try them. But Sara wouldn't compromise on quality, freshness or avoiding preservatives. Thus was born the idea of packaging a mix that would let everyone easily make the same delicious muffins at home.

Sara's Wholesome Muffin Mix

Sara's Wholesome Muffin Mix is a healthful alternative to mass market muffin mixes or boxed muffins. Our unique blend of whole wheat flour and other natural ingredients results in a light yet satisfying muffin that makes a great breakfast or snack. Designed for the more health-conscious consumer, Sara's Muffin Mix is lower in sugar than other mixes. We use no preservatives, artificial flavors or colors.

Sara's Wholesome Muffin Mix is currently made in three varieties: Corn, Bran. Just add water, some oil and an egg for perfect muffins. The All-purpose mix is a great base for customizing. Try mixing in apple sauce, mashed bananas, canned pumpkin or whatever else you fancy. With a little extra water or milk, our mixes make great pancakes and waffles.

During the summer, we will be adding Blueberry Muffin mix. Other varieties are also being planned.

Our muffin mixes come in a 7 ounce pouch which makes 6 medium sized muffins.

Sara's Wholesome Muffin mixes are dairy free. They are kosher-parve-yoshon under the supervision of the -Orthodox Union of America and the Beit Din of BdaTz Eda HaHaredit -Yerushalayim
